Kapasan (Chittorgarh): The town of Kapasan resonated with devotion and festivity as the Nandwana Brahmin community organized their annual celebration on the sacred occasion of Ram Navami. The highlight of the event was a grand religious procession and a traditional Mahayagya, which began from the revered Shri Charbhuja Nath Temple.
The atmosphere came alive as devotees carrying the idol of Lord Thakur Ji on their heads paraded through the streets, transforming the town into a vibrant sea of faith. Women, dressed in traditional attire, and men in white clothing, participated enthusiastically. With sacred fans waving, devotional songs playing, and groups dancing, people from all walks of life made the procession a truly spiritual and cultural spectacle.
The Mahayagya, conducted under the guidance of Pandit Raju Vyas, saw participation from numerous couples who offered oblations into the sacred fire. The Yagya’s concluding ritual (Purnahuti) was scheduled for the evening. Devotees from nearby villages and towns also gathered in large numbers to witness the divine event.
The program was led by community president Prakash Nandwana and former president Subhash Nandwana. Former councilor Satish Nandwana, along with Rajesh Nandwana, Giriraj Prasad, Khem Shankar, Girija Shankar, Basant Kumar, Jagdish Chandra, Deendayal, Vasudev, Pramod Kumar, Ashish, Arun, Arvind, Sunil, Gopal, Prem Shankar, Lalit Kumar, Dinesh Kumar, Ankit, Ketan, Puneet, and former councilor Anita were instrumental in making the event a success.
The celebration concluded with a grand community feast (Mahaprasadi), where thousands of devotees were served sacred food, partaking in the spiritual blessings of the day.
